Let us coordinate interpreting, captioning and assistive listening systems for your conferences and community consultations
If you are planning a conference, corporate event or a community meeting, Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) can coordinate the services you need to make your event accessible to Deaf and hard of hearing participants. Our specialized services include:
• Interpreting Services at CHS
We provide highly skilled interpreters who provide communication in sign language and a spoken language – American Sign Language (ASL) and English, or la langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) and French.
• Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART)
CART provides professional word-for-word transcription of speech to text in real time in English and/or French. The text can be displayed on a laptop screen or projected onto a large screen.
• FM Assistive Listening Systems
We can provide large area FM systems broadcast voice or music wirelessly up to 1,000 feet. Listeners wear personal FM receivers equipped with headphones to listen to a speaker at their comfort level, minimizing background noise and amplifying the speaker’s voice.
