  • News Releases

February 28, 2018 - People contacting Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) can now call a single, toll-free phone number or use video to communicate in ASL/LSQ sign languages.

This streamlined access is available immediately for all 24 offices, programs and services.  Individuals from anywhere in Canada can now easily reach CHS via voice, video, TTY and fax. This change will increase access for Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people across Canada.

“Accessibility is essential for everyone, especially our clients,“ said Shane Silver, VP, Innovation & Enterprise Development of Canadian Hearing Society. “One toll-free phone number and enhanced video capability simplifies how people reach us and helps ensure every client receives the same high level of service.”
