WEBINAR:  How to easily request an interpreter

On Thursday, September 22 at 10:00 am, CHS will host a webinar. In this webinar, we will give you tips on how to make your interpretation request easier. We will also provide advice on how to educate service providers about the importance of communication access, as well as information on what is covered by our government funding, including who needs to request interpreting services and when.

FREE ASL LUNCH & LEARN CLASS

In recognition of the International Day of Sign Languages, Canadian Hearing Services is excited to offer a free American Sign Language (ASL) Lunch & Learn class on September 23 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Participants will receive an introduction to ASL and learn some basic ASL signs. To join the Lunch & Learn class, please complete the registration below.

WEBINAR: ORANGE SHIRT DAY

On Thursday, September 29 at 10:00 am, CHS will host a webinar. We have invited a special presenter who is Deaf indigenous -  Krista Belleau. Orange Shirt Day was created as an opportunity to discuss the effects of residential schools and their legacy. It honors the experiences of Indigenous Peoples, celebrates resilience, and affirms a commitment that every child matters.
