This section also describes the National Occupational Classification (NOC) system, which is very helpful when assessing the types of jobs available, what is required to get a specific job, and more.  The NOC system includes a profile of hearing ratings for different jobs, indicating the job's reliance on hearing/oral skills.  This is a question asked by many youth with hearing loss.

Another valuable resource found in this area is a detailed list of requirements and recommendations for receiving reasonable accommodations from a school or employer.  Establishing your accommodation needs is important to training and employment success.
