Conference Accessibility Coordination

Let us coordinate interpreting, captioning and assistive listening systems for your conferences and community consultations.

CONFERENCE ACCESSIBILITY COORDINATION

If you’re planning a conference, corporate event or community meeting, our experts can coordinate the communication services you need to make your event accessible to culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing participants.

What we offer

We can help make your event accessible by coordinating a variety of specialized CHS services:

  • Ontario Interpreting Services at CHS
Our highly skilled interpreters provide communication in sign language and a spoken language – American Sign Language (ASL) and English, or la langue des signes québécoise (LSQ) and French.
  • CART– Communication Access Realtime Translation
CART provides professional word-for-word transcription of speech to text in real time in English and/or French. The text can be displayed on a laptop screen or projected onto a large screen.
  • FM Assistive Listening Systems
Large area FM systems broadcast voice or music wirelessly up to 1,000 feet. Listeners wear personal FM receivers equipped with headphones to listen to a speaker at their comfort level. This minimizes background noise and amplifies the speaker’s voice. FM systems are ideal for large and small facilities and meeting rooms.
