La SCO soutient le nouveau projet de loi pour un accès équitable au Crédit d’impôt pour personnes handicapéesToronto, ON: Toronto, ON : la Société canadienne de l’ouïe (SCO) soutient les changements recommandés concernant le Crédit d’impôt pour personnes handicapées (CIPH) à travers une proposition de loi de député dont le but est de mieux comprendre les incapacités relatives à l'audition. Peter Julian, député de Burnaby–New Westminster, souhaite amender la Loi de l’impôt sur le revenu afin de garantir que tous les individus admissibles bénéficient d’un accès équitable au CIPH. Les critères actuels d’admissibilité au crédit d’impôt sont discriminatoires à l’égard des personnes ayant une perte auditive.
