Can you come to the office/court with me?

Q: I have an appointment at a government office or in court.  Can you come with me?

A: Yes, we can come with you and provide support. 

Do you have the forms I need?

Q: Do you have the forms I need?

A: We do not have any forms.  If you need help understanding or filling out any forms, you need to bring the forms to us. 

How can you help me with my government caseworker?

Q: I have a government caseworker.  How can you help me with my caseworker?

A: We can help you communicate with your caseworker and explain what you need.  We can help reduce misunderstandings.  Sometimes when you're frustrated and not sure you're being understood, we can help by making things clear to both you and your caseworker. 

Can you fill out forms for me?

Q: I need help filling out forms, can you fill out forms for me?

A: We can help you fill out your forms, but we do not do it for you.  Bring your letters, forms and any supporting documentation (e.g. receipts, statements) and we will help you with them.  

Does GSS cost money?

Q: Does it cost money to get help from GSS?

A: No, GSS counselling and assistance is completely free and funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
