Position Summary:
The Canadian Hearing Society serves Culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing communities. In our effort to further improve the scope of services provided, a Community Development Council (CDC) was established in all regions of the province.
We are currently seeking community members to join the Waterloo CDC and make a difference for all consumers of services offered in the region. Involvement of committed community representatives is essential in creating an enhanced awareness of The Canadian Hearing Society, ensuring the service delivery reflects priorities of the community and in supporting fundraising.
A qualified applicant may have one or more of the following skills:
• Community involvement
• Experience with public speaking
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to provide leadership
• Experience with Board development
• Fundraising, marketing and planning skills
• Board experience is an asset.
