Team Captains Print E-mail

Each team appoints a Team Captain who will be the primary organizer and liaison between team participants and the Corporate Challenge committee. Team Captains will receive all correspondence from the Corporate Challenge office and are responsible for keeping all team members informed.

If you have any questions regarding the role of Team Captains, forms, pledging support, or general event-day logistics, please contact Carrie Carroll at (705) 743-1573 or by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Team Captain responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising with your company's managers to ensure they are aware of your team’s involvement and the benefits to your company and its employees
  2. Acting as the primary contact between team members and the Corporate Challenge
  3. Peterborough office (i.e. team members should not contact the CHS office. All questions should be fielded through Team Captains)
  4. Recruiting fellow employees to participate in the event
  5. Ensuring the $350.00 registration fee is raised and submitted
  6. Organizing the team’s fundraising efforts
  7. Encouraging the team to put forward their best efforts in the Food Donation Challenge, Pop Can Tab Challenge, and the Fundraising Challenge
  8. Completing all necessary registration forms and submitting them to the Corporate Challenge office
  9. Distributing all necessary event information to team members
  10. Attending meetings of the Corporate Challenge Team Captain

Team Captain Meetings:

Corporate Challenge will be hosting a meeting for Team Captains on:

April 6th, 2010 (Pre-event rundown)
6:30 PM
Best Western Otonabee Inn

This is an essential meeting for Team Captains to attend. It is an opportunity to tour the event location and receive a rundown of the event including event day registration procedures, schedules, locations of changing and washroom facilities, equipment, sit layout, etc.  Familiarity with the site and the event day procedures will make for less stress on the day and reduce the number of questions fielded by our volunteers and coordinators.

We strongly suggest that teams meet prior to the Team Captain meeting so that any questions from members can be directed to the organizing committee at the meeting.

Team Captains are responsible for ensuring their team knows what time and station their game challenge is at and that each member of the team is aware of the rules for that game.

If a Team Captain cannot attend the meeting, an alternate representative should attend.
